Onenote should let me send screenclips where I choose

I love the ability to import screenclips into OneNote. But this feature
would be much better if it gave me more control over where the clips end up
after I create them. For instance, if I have OneNote open (rather than
minimized to the system tray) a popup asking whether I want to send it to the
open page of the open notebook, create a new page in the open notebook, or
place it in the Unfiled Notes section would save me a whole lot of effort in
trying to put the information where I want it. Unless I'm not finding
something, my only choice right now is to have it appear in the Unfiled Notes
then move it from there to wherever I intended it to go.

Not quite the selector you're looking for, but there is some control.

Right click the OneNote icon in your system tray, select "options->Screen
Clipping Defaults->..."

I usually keep mine set to "Copy to Clipboard only"

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that. Unfortunately, if I'm capturing
an image of some text in another app, copying to the clipboard then pasting
into one of my notes sometimes changes the formatting -- the image gets
shrunk down so that text becomes difficult to read. Seemingly the only way
to get it into the note I want in its native format is to:

1) Send it to the Unfiled Notes section.
2) Cut it from there.
3) Go to the page I want it in.
4) Paste it there.
5) Go back to the Unfiled Notes section.
6) Delete the now empty page (except for the info about when the Screen Clip
was saved).

That's a lot of steps to take for what should be a fairly simple operation.
It seems to me that it would be much smoother if I were presented with the
following choice whenever I make a clip:

"Would you like to send this clip to:
1) The most recently opened page in your notebook.
2) The Unfiled Notes section."

By clicking a radio button I could have the choice to quickly get my clip
exactly where I want it.

If you navigate to the page you want it to go to then select the
screen clipping it will go to the desired page.

At least that's the behaviour I see.

Thanks. Tried it out and it works. The only problem being that it still
creates a duplicate copy of the screen clipping in the Unfiled Notes section.
If I want it on one of the pages I've created myself I really don't see the
need to have it in the Unfiled Notes section too. It should be possible to
disable that behavior somehow.
