OneNote should recognize handwriting from digital pens (.pen form.

I use OneNote for organizing research I've done with Logitech's digital pen,
and it would be extremely beneficial if it would recognize handwriting using
the .pen format. Currently, the Logitech software will pop the image
straight into OneNote, but the program only recognizes it as a picture. It
will not convert to text or allow for text searches in the image.

OneNote only supports handwriting recognition for Ink created on the Tablet
PC OS.

I am not sure what MS' plans are for future expansion of Ink beyond the
Tablet PC or some way to use/convert handwriting schemes from other
platforms.

I'm not familiar with the Logitech product. Does it have its own
handwriting recognition engine? If so, maybe you can convert from the
Logitech software then copy/paste into OneNote.

Try Penoffice from PhatWare
IT works good.
You can write notes with recognition.
the only problem is when switching between drawing and handwritting you have
to push to icons. onenote does not automatically switch the handwritting
on/off
