OneNote - so glad I tried it.

I know I am not yet using OneNote to it's full capacity - eventually I will -
but in the meantime I am so happy with what I am using OneNote for.

I do many crafts, including knitting. With OneNote I am able to save the
pattern, the digital photos I've taken of my finished product, and my notes
on one page. Something I particularly like, is being able to email a OneNote
page (or pages). This means I don't have to attach a word doc, attach my
digital photos, and write my comments in the email when sending craft
information to someone. I also use OneNote for my Christmas planning - I've
got many, many pages under the heading of Christmas 2006 and find it so
convenient that everything is in one place and that I can see at a glance
(with the tabs) what every page in that section is. These are just a few of
the things I am currently using OneNote for. There are so many features that
I like and I know there are more to discover and familiarize myself with. I
am very impressed with this software and it's capabilities.

Actually there is not much to discover in onenote.
It is as simple as it is, and maybe this makes it so popular.

I think ON became popular because it simply provides one place
to store things instead of many folders for many things under your c drive
that you need
to open each every time whenever you want to modfy them.

I'm with you, my boss showed me OneNote because he uses the Tab;et PC all the
time. Even without the tablet, I think OneNote is the single most important
feature of Office, I just can't wait for Office 2007 when you will be able to
send your Notebook to yout PDA.

I've introduced everyone I can to the program; family, friends, clients....I
love it.

I also tried to introduce ON to some people,
but they simply dont see how useful it can be.
they just see it as a simple note taking whatever program.
So the interest in ON lies in how people are organized.

I need my PIM (I use InfoSelect now but am leaning toward a switch to
OneNote) because I am NOT organized.

I lose papers, foms, memos, etc., in my elementary classroom lots of times.
That's why I keep so many things "in" my laptop because thankfully I have not
lost a laptop yet. Good programs like ON and InfoSelect -- and maybe TreePad
and (remember?) ECCO Pro, or ShadowPlan are so helpful to me.

I plan to add a scanner on my desk and stuff all that stuff "in" during the
break this summer. Break? What break? I'll be getting electronically
organized for my new grade level (fifth)!

Jonathan, did you see my reply to your Info Select post? I didn't see
it pop up in the daily active posts list.
