OneNote Viewer

Dan

Is a standalone viewer available for OneNote? I create secure notes and
store these on a web server, so that I can access them when I travel. But
the problem is that I might use different computers that don't have OneNote
installed, so I cannot access my notes - only from limited places.

If you download the trial on those machines, you can use it to view your
notes. What's even better for you is that after the trial expires, it
becomes (basically) a viewer: You can see the notes, but not change, add, or
delete them.

Kathy's suggestion is the best way - in the alternative you could publish
your notes to a web page and view them in Internet Explorer without having
OneNote.

But Kathy's suggestion of using the trial is better.

The only thing I can see would be an issue with publishing your notes, and
then installing onenote on every computer you touch, is that you're
installing onenote on every computer you touch. If i remember correctly you
do agree to legal terms... and I suggest that if you do install it on
someones computer, you should have their permission, and let them know what
the terms of having it installed is.
I have no doubts that you'd be running it with permission but just remember
my words of wisdom... some people don't like it if you install stuff without
them knowing.

That's why the trial version is a nice solution -- no licensing issue from
MS. You need only worry about getting permission from the owner of the
machine.
