OneNote WHAT? Where is save command?

unreal, this office application suddenly activated when I attempted to
download an avery template for creating labels. I have never seen it before
and don't even know what it is. But after exploring it looks as though it is
something I can use.

Now after looking at it, I am finding some things ok, though for some reason
I do not have the general office icon (the 4 colored loops) that help says I
should click when looking for the file menu. In fact, I can't seem to find
the file menu at all. I have a toolbar, with a very few file menu icons and
the option to insert like two more when you op-click the bar, but there is no
save icon that I can find, anywhere. Without the office icon, I do not know
how to get to the file menu. There is no word like "File" at the top of the
page like the old days, I haven't used this program for an hour and I am
lost...I feel like an idiot. What do I do now? Thanks for the help, sorry
for stupid question.

What is OneNote? Start here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/onenote/HA101686341033.aspx

OneNote 2007 is one of the Office products that didn't get the new UI in
the 2007 versions. It is expected that you don't see the Office orb.

What is also by design is there is no Save button. All changes are saved
automatically in the background and optionally synced to a network or
external storage location.

Start with the link above and the other resources at the MS Office site,
and let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks! I felt it might autosave as Word does, but I ran accross a MS
OneNote "help" note that said for me to save frequently - the fact that there
is no save button makes the suggestion obsolete and the whole thing a bit
confusing....thanks for your help. Also, so there is no direct access to the
"File" menu? That is unnecessary too?

Unlike Word/Excel/PowerPoint/etc. where you are working on one document at
a time and then closing it when editing is complete, OneNote keeps all of
your data open and accessible at all times. Once you create/open all of
the Notebooks you will want to use, there's no reason to open/close/create
files on a daily basis.

That concept and the "no explicit Save" feature are hard to wrap your head
around at first, I know ;)
