OneNote will not open.

I opened up my laptop from its standby mode earlier today, and the program
would simply not open. I can see the window in the task menu, and clicking on
it puts the windows on the screen in grayish color, indicating they are out
of focus and that Onenote should now be on the screen, but it never comes up.

I tried restarting and reinstalling Onenote (even though I didn't try to
completely uninstall it yet). Is this a known issue? Can I do anything before
I turn into more drastic measures? I have very important documents on
Onenote, such as my class notes and other material. What do I do?

Onenote 2003.
Yes, I restarted and even turned off the computer.
I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No go.

Try the following:
Rename the My Notebook folder in My Documents into something else. Then
try to open OneNote again. Does it open now?
If it does, then copy, one by one, the folders and files in the renamed
folders into the newly created My Notebook folder and see which one
prevents OneNote from opening.

Good idea.. but it didn't work. I can see it opens (in the task bar)
"untitled document," but it still won't show up on my screen.

Did you run OneNote last when a projector or external monitor was
attached to your laptop? If yes, did you use an "extended desktop"
feature and dragged OneNote on the other desktop (visible on the
projector/external monitor)?
If you did, go back to such a setup and drag OneNote back on your main
desktop (laptop screen) before you disconnect the projector/monitor.

It Worked! Thank you!
Even though I did not use the extended desktop for at least a month, the
Onenote screen opened on the other side for some reason... very weird. Well I
dragged it back there and it's fine now. Thanks again!
