OneNote won't accept my product key

I cannot access my OneNote program as it has never accepted my 25-character
product key. I have tried both the product key from my Windows authentication
key as I think the program came with my Windows XP, as well as the one from
my Microsoft Office Prof. Ed. 2003 Ed. case. Nothin! Would love to be able to
use this program as I am a student and have had this laptop for over a year.
Please help!

The Windows and Office keys won't work. You should have a third,
separate key for OneNote. Maybe your laptop shipped only with a trial
version of OneNote and not actually a full version?

Thanks Patrick - it's under my Microsoft Office in programs and doesn't say
anything about being a trial version. It's listed just the same as Word,
Excel, Access etc. I didn't get any separate documentation for OneNote with
any extra product codes - if it is a trial version, what's the point of
including it if I can't trial it? So frustrating!

It doesn't matter where it is listed on your computer. The package
Office Professional doesn't contain OneNote which is why your key isn't
working.
A OneNote trial is typically good for 90 days. You said you had your
laptop for a year, so maybe you opened OneNote once before and now the
90 days have expired?
If you want to try it, then you might just want to get OneNote 2007 Beta
2. It'll cost you $1.50 to download and you can use it till February 1.
After that, you'll have to buy the product for $100.
