anyone have good solution?
thanks a lot

Akai,

Tables aren't OneNote's strongest point.

You can restore most of the pasted table's format as follows (the
instruction:s assume you have already pasted the table)

1. Click just after the figure 1 in what should have been the first
column
2. Hit Tab
3. Hit Delete (the second column should come up into its expected
place)
4. Hit End then hit Tab
5. Hit Delete (the third column should come up into its expected place

Repeat for 2. On the second column navigate down to the last (second
line) before hitting End then Tab.

And so on.

The whole process is tedious. The procedure described is the least bad
option that I am aware of.

Try pasting the table into a blank Word document first, then select the table
and cut and paste it into the OneNote page. This will preserve the table
format. It's still clunky, but a lot easier and faster than Andrew's solution.

I copy the Word table. Upon pasting it into OneNote I get a little icon which
allows
me to paste table as a picture. The entire table appears. But unfortunately,
it's a picture and I can't modify it.
