Ongoing Items on Gantt Chart

If the work is "ongoing" then it is not a project.

Can you be more specific about your need to show ongoing work?

Thanks
Mark

Thank you for your response. I will try to explain better
what I need.
It is a project but some of the action steps to get to the
goal are ongoing. For instance if better member service
is the goal and one of the action steps to get to the goal
is sales and service training. That can be an ongoing
project because training never stops. I need to indicate
that some action steps do not ever end.
It doesn't seem like the date fields are that flexible.

Hi Nicole,

Sorry but PMS Project is all about Projects.
Projects by definition have a start and an end, and all tasks are planned to
have a start and an end date.
Training never stops, but for instance "The 2004 program for Management
Development" does, it has tasks that are linked together, dates top respect,
resources to plan...

Activities with no start and no end cannot be planned in Project.
If you really need to show some, make them for instance "Training through
2005" which has start and en dates.
