Ongoing Problem w/Word 2002

This is a followup message re: Erratic Behavior in Word
2002. All suggested solutions have been tried, but
there's no change in the problem. Here's the problem:
1) Menus automatically drop down, files open, Find dialog
opens, etc. without my pointing to them.
2) Random words are inserted into the document wherever
the cursor is placed.

I've checked to see if Speech Recognition is enabled--it
is not. I have no wireless devices which could cause the
problem. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

It still sounds like Speech Recognition, but if that is definitely out, then
possibly a faulty mouse or a virus.
