online help files won't open from office since I installed IE8

I have had several problems after installing IE8. A very troublesome is that
the online help files will not open from within any Office program. INstead
I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." How do I fix this? I
am using XP, IE8 and MSOffice 2003.
