Online Scan for Office 2003 updates fails at 57%

When I run a scan for Office 2003 updates the scan starts to run and fails every time on 57% and directs me to a web page that states Web Page is not available. Either I have typed in the address wrong (which is unlikely as I clicked on the scan for updates button) or I must press on back and try again. This has carried on for a week. I can run Windows updates no problem and could run Office 2000 up dates okay until I up graded. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Ashley,

The Windows and Office updates sites don't use the same
software on the server side for updates.

Was the Windows version on this PC upgraded to Windows XP
from a prior Windows version?

Are you using an MSN or AOL 'software' front end or just
an IEv6 browser?

Are you using Norton Security/Antivirus software?

Hi Bo

It has always been Windows XP. Office was upgraded from 2000 to XP to 2003 over a period of time

I am using IEv

And I am using Norton AV software.

Any ideas
