A number of security bulletins have arrived in my email lately
(MS03-34,35,36,37,38) among other things, they report security flaws
relating to buffer overflow in products like MS Office 2000. I figure the
quickest way to get the right patches is to run the on-line office updates
at:
http://office.microsoft.com/productupdates/
I have Office 2000 Pro SR-1 loaded (Disk 1 only) with SP1 installed.
The problem is that the scan's catalog shows I need to install:
Office XP Security Patch KB822036
Word 2002 Security patghc KB824934
Office XP WP 5.x converter Security Patch KB824938
Access 2002 Snapshot Viewer Security Patch KB826293
I don't have ANY of these products loaded. I am using strictly Office2k
products.
FYI. I have a number of corporate workstations to update, the majority of
them are running Win2K Pro (with all the latest patches in place), and just
a couple of WinXP Pros.
Should I load these updates? Or is something rotten in Denmark?
