online validation only works for US, the UK phone No is missing

The online validation is flawed since it only applies to the USA. In the UK
we have to go through a tortuous process of keying in loads of 6 digit number
blocks into the phone and doing it in reverse once the validation numbers are
read back to us....what a nightmare !!!!

I managed to activate online last night without a problem, maybe there
was a server problem?

i downloaded a one note trial in the Uk but when i type is not working. i
tried to activate it over the net but is not working (although my connection
is working). no telephone activation option offered - dont know what to do?
any advise? MS says they dont offer support for trial version - but how can i
try a trial if is not working!!

Hi,

Online activation isn't only available in the US. I have activated
many Microsoft products from the UK.

As someone else mentioned all servers relevant to Office 2007 Beta 2
are heavily loaded at the moment. It's frustrating. But, in the end,
you should be able to activate.

I can't activate either -- it either times out, tells me the activation
server is down or my internet access isn't working (which isn't true).
Argh.

I get the same "can't find active connection to the Internet." when I
try to activate either at home or at work. If the servers are too busy,
I'd rather see a message to that effect - otherwise the user is lead to
believe the issue is on their end.

WOAH. Please read, Microsoft guys! Every time I hit Windows-N (to
bring up a new sidenote), it decrements the number of times I may use
it before I lose functionality!!!

Please take a look at the activation system asap!!!

OK - I just activated. I literally just kept trying, by clicking
'Cancel' then 'Next' and eventually it went through.

Alex,

There are widespread problems with activation at the moment, possibly
because of the load from activations of Office 2007 Beta 2.

I know Microsoft is aware of the problem and are working to resolve
it.

Unfortunately all I can suggest is to keep trying.

Alternatively, use the telephone activation option, although I don't
know if that is affected too. It's a tedious process (I've done it
several times) but in the end you ought to get through to a human
being, if it fails.

The telelphone option is disabled here in U.S. .... I don't know how to
activate without the telephone or online. They got me there boy!
