Only Set Project Summary Flag = Yes

a Hi-

We are using Oracle Project Management which has a two way interface with
MSP using VB. When the user requests it, Oracle generates a new MSP file for
analysis. The user can make updates, and send back to Oracle.

There is a setting that is defaulted as "No", but I need all users to set it
to "Yes". The user can set this to Yes (ie. a checkbox) through the new menu
that comes with the Oracle/MSP installation. The setting is tracked in
Flag2, and is only set at the project level. Flag2 at the task level is used
with another function in the interface that is unrelated to this specific
setting. I am looking to default flag2 = Yes at the project summary level
since most users would probably forget to do this.

I have tried using the formulas and default values under customized fields,
but there is a conflict with the function that uses flag2 at the task level,
so I can't use that. Also, Oracle states that the default setting can't be
changed (which I am not sure I believe).

I am looking to see if is possible to set flag2 = yes at the project summary
level for any project file a user opens up.

Thanks in advance!

You can either have flag2 set with a formula or user entry, but not both.
Consider changing the function in the interface to use a different flag
field.
