Only show tasks that cross a particular date

I want to show with filters or however all the tasks that cross a particular
date. Not just start or end on a particular date.

Koolkat,

Custom filters on the start and finish dates should do it for you. Start
dates less than the date you are interested in and Finish dates greater then
the date.

Darrell,

It doesn't work like that. If I pick a Start Date it ONLY shows tasks that
Start EXACTLY that date.
I want to enter a date and MS Project filter and show tasks that are still
running on that date.

Wait... this should work. Turn on the Autofilters and on the Start Date
create a custom filter "Less than" and enter the date, this should leave just
the tasks that have start dates before the date you are interested in. Now
create a custom filter on the Finish Date field for "Greater than" and enter
the date, this should leave only the task that finish after the date...
leaving just tasks crossing the date you selected.

Actually it works better if you use the "is less than or equal too" and "is
greater than or equal too" in order to capture dates the same as your
selected date... other than that it works fine for me.

Yea that's the one.... when I tried it earlier I typed in the dates and it
gave me issues versus using the drop down to select the dates which seemed to
work O.K. Of course looking at the filter it is exacly what I said to do
using the Autofilters on the start date and finish date fields. <grin>.
