Workstation PC running XP Pro SP2 and Outlook 2k3 SP2.
User logs on to pc/domain with smart card. User also opens Outlook
successfully and connects to the exchange server. Intermittently though an
authentication dialog box will appear wanting the user to authenticate to
the exchange server again using the smart card and PIN number. This is not
normal smart card behavior for Outlook users here. He seems to be the only
one out of about 300 users here that this keeps happening to so I would have
to believe its a client side issue. Just for kicks I enabled cached exchange
mode on his pc to see if that would help. So far it has not re-appeared.
Does anyone else have any ideas as to why this may be happening and what can
be done to prevent it? Tomorrow I'm going to update the OS and Office to
SP3.
TIA
