Hi
I have the Toggle Read-only button available on the Quick Access Toolbar in
Excel 2007 and have been opening files which were stored in Excel 2000. I
usually use Windows Explorer to open Excel files.
I have not opted to save changes when using the toggle button but (after
closing the file) find the file's Windows NT date stamp has been altered to
the current date, even though I don't elect to save changes when closing the
file.
I realise this definitely should not occur if I open the files via Excel's
File-Open dialog but find Windows Explorer more convenient.
Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?
Many thanks
Tim
