Open a picture in Word

I am creating a Word 2000 document that will stay on screen (I wont be
printing it off). I would like to be able to create a hyperlink (as such)
that will enable me to click on or hover over a word in the text which will
bring up an outside photo as a pop-up. Is this possible?

Hi Allan,

Have you tried Insert|Hyperlink and used the 'Browse for file' approach? I
think that will do what you want.

You can also use Insert>Object>From File & check the boxes for 'Link to
File' (if you don't want a copy of the image stored in the Word doc) &
'Display as Icon'.
