open a stencil for editing

Hi All,

I just upgraded to Visio 2003 from Visio 2000.
I can't quite figure out how to open a stencil
for editing. In 2000, it was in the open
dialog box. I can't seem to find a setting or
anything about it in 2003. Could someone give
me a hint?

Hi

You have to open the stencil with File/Shapes/Open Stencil. And the the
button Open set to Original.

File->Open, navigate to the directory with the stencil (not sure where
the default ones are...do a search on your HD for *.vss if you get
stuck) and then select the tiny drop down on the right side of the
open button, and choose original.
