Open a window / box showing a selected range of cells only

Hi,

Is there any way in which to open a seperate window or box that shows
selected range of cells only and allows them to be edited?

Here is the reason.

On worksheet 1 "Names" I have the names of each employee on a
individual button ready to attach a macro to, listed by department.

On worksheet 2 "Dep1" shows the calculations (needed for working ou
number of shifts left to work) for each employee in department 1.
Each set of calculations is a set of cells 8 columns by 40 rows in siz
and seperated from the next employees details by 2 blank columns and
blank rows e.g. A1:H40 (employee 1) then K1:R40 (employee 2)

what I would like to happen is: when I press the button with employe
1's name on, a window / box appears showing the cells A1:H40 only
however I would like to be able to edit these cells, and print th
details when necessary. So in effect I just want it to show, and allo
access to that part of worksheet 2.

This will make sure that the correct persons details can be found an
accessed quickly.

If anyone knows how to do this or has any thoughts please let me know

You could use Custom Views (View menu, Custom Views)

You could highlight those columns and set it's column width to 0
