Open an old 2002 packed presentation (*.exe format)

Hi,

I am now running Office 2003 on my computer and need to unpack a
presentation i created and packed years ago. It is called uBu.exe and when i
run it the following events happen:

1. A window pops up asking me where i want to unpack it
2. It confirms that i want to unack it in that folder (the usual it will
write over stuff)
3. I get an error that says "Unable to read 'PRES0.PPZ'. Make sure that the
file exists and you have read permission for it.

Any ideas on how i can open it? I remember opening it a couple of years ago
and so it should work.

Regards

Adam

Usually Pack and Go packages include a file called pngsetup.exe and if the
package contains the viewer, then nothing else is required Running the
pngsetup.exe program extracts everything you need. You could also try Winzip
to extract your presentation file.

I have looked around the web for solutions already and have tried the
following:

1) putting the pngsetup.exe file in the same directory and running either
exe file
2) renaming the uBu.exe file to PRES0.PPZ and running the pngsetup.exe file
3) opening the uBu.exe file in winzip (it can't open it)

cheers for the response Michael but i've already been down those routes :-(

Quite correct, But, WinZip will sometimes open the PRES0.PPZ if pngsetup
won't. That is after it is extracted from the uBu.exe file. Sorry I did not
read you question more closely

pngsetup.exe is probably looking for a PPZ file, but it's probably buried
inside the uBu.exe file.

I would use WinZip to look inside the EXE and see what files are in there.
If you find a PPZ file, extract it to the folder where pngsetup.exe is, and
then run pngsetup.exe.
