Open and Repair

I have a large document (approx 200 pages) in MS Word 2003. I recently got
a message that the document is corrupt. I used "Open and Repair" to
successfully open the document. The "Show Repairs" dialog lists about 30
problems with the document. When I save and then "Open and Repair" the same
document, I get the same list of errors. Is this something that I should be
concerned about?

I copied everything except the last paragraph mark to a new document. That
fixed another problem that I had (file ze had tripled recently -- it is now
back to a more reasonable size), but the error list in "Open and Repair" is
the same.

I also tried to save as web page. That elimated some, but not all errors.
It also causes a few formatting problems that would take some time for me to
correct (probably because of my weak Word skills).

Apparently, the repair function has limitations. What kind of errors are
listed?
