"Open" and "Save As" Dialog Box Problem

Yesterday (7/8) these worked fine. I'd click on either and
a list of files would appear.Today (7/9), when I click on
either one - no files are listed whatsoever, yet the files
are there (I can see them if I click on Folders).

Has anyone else ever had this happen? How do I fix?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
