open blank document, it has text already on it, how do I eliminat

I open each blank document, and it already has the same text, every time I
open a new document. What have I done and how can I eliminate the text from
being in every new document.

do a search for Normal.dot and delete. Word will create a new one for you.

You don't know how much I appreciate your help. I've spent hours trying to
figure out what I did, and looking for ways to get it off my blank documents.
I did exactly what you said and it worked the first time.
