Open .csv and .skv files

Marie

I have an English version of Office XP and everything
works fine when I'm opening files in .csv format. The
data is imported OK.
Now I try to open a .skv file - which is the Swedish
version of a .csv and then the data isn't parsed at all.
Everything ends up in one cell.
I have asscociated extension .skv the same way as
the .csv file in Windows.
What to do?

I like Bob's idea about checking the files.

When you look at the .csv file in notepad, what is the separator (comma or
semicolon)?

What about when you look at the .skv file in notepad?

If they didn't match, you could try this experiment.
Remember the separator in the .skv file and change your regional settings to
match.

Windows Start Button|Settings|control panel|Regional setting applet.
Number Tab|separator box (near the bottom).

Modify it to match your .skv file.

(remember what it was, so you can change it back for your .csv files.)
