I need to open dbf (set with ANSI) files with Excel. It
doesn't work, so I open it through msquery. It works fine,
but some special characters are automatically changed.
(ex: é -> Ù).
I found an article in the knowledge base (214039) which
says that dBase files are always imported using the ASCII
character set and FoxPro for Windows generates ANSI-dbf
files: as a result of this automatic character formatting,
some special characters may be lost or displayed
incorrectly.
Is there a way to open a dbase file using the ANSI?
Thanks!
