Open Document In New Window

Aaarrgh! Somehow I have managed to change a setting here or there
somewhere and now I cannot open more than one document at a time
because they just keep replacing each other. I cannot find whatever
setting it is to set it back to allowing me to open 8 different
documents at a time if I want to.

Thanks for any rescue you can give me.

Tools > Options > View > "Windows in Taskbar".
