Open Excel Workbook

I would like to export or pump the data from a query into
Excel 97 from a Access 97 database application. I need a
method for getting this done simply. TranferSpreadsheet
does not work the way I'd like it to. I'd like to open a
new instance of excel 97 first, then pump the data into
it, and make it the active (front) window. What is the
best method for doing this?
