Open existing website for edit

Hi Guys,

I have a website that one of my previous employees edited, apparently using
something other than FrontPage. I no longer have access to the system he was
editing it from. I would now like to edit the site and have installed
FrontPage 2003 onto my computer. I have checked the site server and it does
support FrontPage extensions, and they are installed.

I used to use a previous version of FrontPage some time ago where I opened
Internet Explorer and then clicked "edit site using FrontPage" from the
toolbar. When I do that now it does not ask me for a username or password,
and does not allow me to save changes, though it does give me the site page
to edit. My immediate requirement is to replace one of the download files
with a new version so I need to get the folder view open in FrontPage so I
can drag and drop the file from my local desktop.

I also cannot find anywhere to specify the username and password on the site
to open it for editing from within FrontPage.

I have followed the help files but it always says it cannot open the file
because it is password protected, but still does not ask me for a password.
Where i says "Click on Tools - Server", the option is greyed out.

Any help appreciated.

Your employee may have wacked the extensions and password by using ftp. Call
your host and make sure that the extensions are ok AND have them change your
un/pw.

Thanks Rob, after trying most things I noticed a "re-install FrontPage
Extensions" button on the ISP website control panel. I figured it was there
for a reason - maybe it needs reinstalling after certain conditions??
Nothing to loose so I went ahead... All working now.

Thanks for your time to reply.
