I updated Office XP with what's was recommended by MS in the "Check Office Updates site" so I did it twice, it installed SP3 and two other security patches. Now when I try to open a file in word or excel I get an error message.
In Word it says "le fichier xxx.doc n'est pas disponible" which would translate to something like "the file xxx.doc is not available". In Excel it says "Impossible the lire le fichier" which would translate to something like "Unable to read the file"
In Word I tried to create a new document, it saved fine but I cannot reopen it, same error message as above.
Also in Word when I close it always ask me to save normal.dot liek if it was modified. I said yes a couple of time but still ask me for it. IF I open normal.dot alone it's fine
I'm desparate, any help is welcome
