Open Hyperlinks in new windows

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to make a hyperlink in visio 2003, and when saved as
a webpage, this hyperlink opens in a new page?
I've tryed to change the .htm file and replace all the "target=_top" with
"target=_blank" but that doesn't seem to work.
I've also tryed to change the .htm file in frontpage 2003, but that doesn't
work either, so something tels me that the .htm file outside of the files
directory isn't the only file that needs to be changed. Unless i've got it
all wrong and it needs to be done in an other way (which is more likely )

Open Spreadsheet, goto Hyperlinks section, chnage NewWindow to 1

Which should i open in a spreadsheet ?

Select each shape which has hyperlinks, then open its shapesheet ... etc.
Of course, you could write code to do same.

This seems not to work for Visio Standard 2002? I open the shapesheet, change
newwindow to true, save, generate html and open in explorer. But no new
window opens. Do I need to upgrade to Visio 2003?

Hi Jan,

At first, i had this problem too when i opened the file localy, but when i
uploaded the files to our webserver it worked fine. I can't say whether it
works on visio 2002 or not, but it sure works on visio 2003

I needed to upgrade to Visio 2003, and here it works very well.
