open msg files in windows mail without outlook

I have a pc with Vista and need to open some Outlook files (msg) but
currently using Windows Mail

I thought OE/Windows Live would open MSG files, but, if it doesn't, the text
is mostly readable if you open the file in notepad. I wouldn't save the
file, however, once you do open it in notepad.
