Could anyone help me?
I am trying to create a word macro which will open Microsoft publisher,
actually a specific document in MS publisher.
I am using a recall program (I am an optician), but the company which
supplied it has disappeared.
This program has a facility to print out information to a document template,
which inputs patient information onto a pre-printed record card. As we print
the record cards ourselves (we are a new company, and trying to keep down
costs), I was hoping to use MS Publisher to kill two birds with one stone-
instead of printing the record card in publisher, and then at a later date
overprinting the info of the patient (using a mail merge) and MS word. The
program is hard coded to call GOS1a.DOT, and I had that set up with an auto
run macro to auto print the info and close the window.
I found the Shell command, and managed to get it to open Publisher, but I
cannot get it to open the record card "Record Card.pub"
Could anyone help me with the required coding?
Also, if I can get Word to open Publisher with the correct document opened,
will I then be able to use a similar macro ( to my word one) in Pub to get
it to auto print and close?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received,
Thanks,
Ian
