Originally this problem was only seen in Word (Office Pro).
I just upgraded from FrontPage 2000 to FrontPage 2003.
Now, as with Word, every time I do an INSERT of a file or picture, the
browse dialog box opens, then just sits there for about 15 seconds or better
while it apparently looks for the files, something that indexing should be
taking care of beforehand. If I change to a different folder, it again does
the delay and then shows the results. It seems as if it's searching for
something non existent, then timing out. If I select just JPG files, it does
the same thing (so much for that theory).
All my other "thrid party" applications, the browse dialog opens instantly
and changing directories does not involve a lengthy (relatively speaking)
wait.
This blows my mind that a Microsoft application would seemt to work so
poorly with it's own operating system.
I suspect this is a settings issue, but I have no clue where to start.
The PC is a 3.2Ghz model with 1Gb memory and over 500G storage.
