open project using existing data

Hi there,

Problem:
The new project is being open from our SQL database using
the "Open project from existing data" option.
When trying to view a table ("open") in datasheet view, I
am getting the error "Cannot find column "ColumnName"."

What happened:
This column name used to exist in the sql table, but was
deleted.

Question:
Why is Access still looking for that column. Does the
schema still persists somewhere?
Quering the SQL information_schema did not return this
column name anywhere in our database.

Tries:
Added the column in SQL to the table. (It opened fine in
Access.)
Deleted the column from within the Access project. (Error
persists)
Applied the latest jet engine service pack. (no change)

Please help!
