Open publisher document?

Recently got Office Home and Student 2007 with Word. I thought this would
allow me to open .pub files also, but so far I'm unable to do so. Is this
just not possible or am I doing something incorrectly?
Thanks,
Deborah

I believe this has to be done the other way around: save the document in
Publisher as a Word document. Then, you can open that document in many
different word processors.

Publisher files can only be opened with Publisher. You can either ask the
file's creator to send you a .pdf of that file or you can download the free
trial of Publisher. There is no "viewer" available but after the trial
expires, it basically becomes a viewer.

Since Office Home and Student does not include Publisher, I'm not sure why
you thought it would allow you to open Publisher files. Office Small
Business does include Publisher.
