Open report w/o opening DB

I am wondering if I can create an application that when you click on
it (say a shortcut), it opens a report parameter box to query a set
of
parameters, and then opens the report based on these selections
without actually opening the access database window.

In other words, can I have the end user only see (i.e. have access
to)
the report in the print preview mode after selecting a set of
parameters?

If so, any suggestions as to how to go about this? I am using Access
2003 for XP

Many thanks

Debbie

Debbie,
Create a macro called AutoExec, use the OpenReport action to open the report.
Autoexec has special meaning to Access, and always runs first. From there the report's
parameters and the report will take over.
Also, you can select Tools/Startup, and deselect Display Database Window. That will
hide the Access database screen itself.
