Open/Run Database

Do I have to give permissions to all users to "Open/Run Database" ?

I just wanted to give permission to open the main form at startup and then
specific forms as granted by permissions.

But unless I give access to Open/Run database the user can't even get to the
startup form.

Yes, they have to be able to use the database in order to use objects in the
database.

You can't give someone access to an office if you don't first let them in
the building.

Thanks for the reply - I've followed the "How to Secure a database" in the
Dummies book but it fails to mention that !

I don't know what the "dummies book" is but essential reading is the MS FAQ

I've read the FAQ you mentioned - boy its not simple is it !

It is daunting, that's for sure, but once the penny drops you'll see it's
worth the effort (that's how it was for me at any rate).
