I use my home PC to sync a MS access 97 database to my Palm Tungsten. I then
sent a copy of the file to my secretary at work who is on a network. When I
try to open it on her computer, it brings up a box saying it is read only
and will not open it (The file also comments on the Open/run option when the
file was created. When I checked the original file on my home PC in
Tools>Security>User and group permissions, the Open/run checkbox is greyed
out and cannot be checked or unchecked). The file properties show that the
file is not read only.
Is there some sort of network permission thing that stops it being opened?
If so can I work round it or do I have to get our network IT people to sort
it?
Many thanks
