Open specific record

I would like to have a form that has an unbound text field, a user enters an
ID #, and have a button that will open a report with just that record
showing. How is this done?

Nick,
I usually use a combo box for a "quick find." It can act just like a
text control, but can also prevent entering illegitimate IDs.
On my website (below), I have a sample A97 and A2003 downloadable files,
listed under "Combo Quick Find"

Nick,
Sorry... I didn't see that you wanted to "report" on a record.
Thought you were just "finding" a record in a form's recordset.
Try Allen's suggestion... and post back here if you still have problems.
