Open Visio drawing in new program window

Hi,

This may seem rather basic but i can't find the option in
Visio 2003 to open new drawing in separate program
window. Now it defaults to open drawing in the same
program window and i find that a bit inconvenient since i
can't cycle through all windows with Alt+Tab. Of course i
can cycle the focus within the visio window using
Ctrl+Tab, but then i can't see the window title during
switching.

I don't quite understand why this functionality is intentionally left
out given the fact that Word and Excel both supports that.

You can start separate instances of Visio and load diagrams to each one, but
you have to explicitly start Visio, then open a diagram. Clicking on .vsd's
will send them to an alread-running Visio instance, if one exists.

When you are in Visio, just use Ctrl+Tab to switch between documents. Almost
the same as Alt+Tab, but you don't have all those Visio drawings cluttering
up your task bar.

Visio was not created by Microsoft. The company, Shapeware (later renamed
Visio) tried to make Visio as compatiable with Microsoft products as
possible, but there are some differences. Since Visio was acquired by
Microsoft in 2000, Microsoft has been trying to minimize these differences.

Visio was the first non Microsoft product to fully support VBA.

Is Ctrl+Tab a standard?

Ctrl+F6 does the same thing, and I think it is something of a Windows,
or at least Office, standard.
