open word docs in one window

Hi there,

every time i open a new doc in word it opens up a new screen. Is there an
option to open all new docs in the same screen, but you can still switch
between them via the 'windows' menu.

not sure where to find this option.

What version of Microsoft Word are you running? (i.e. Microsoft Word 2003)

When you say that is "opens up a new screen", do you mean that 2 (or more) taskbar buttons for Microsoft Word
show up on the Windows taskbar? (i.e. 2 or more instances of Microsoft Word are running)

On the Tools menu click Options and on the View tab uncheck Windows in
Taskbar.
