Several times I've gotten email in Entourage with an attached WORD (.Doc) file. When I double click, nothing happens. When I save file, then try and open it with WORD, I get a message that WORD cannot open it because it is damaged.

When I open the same email from my Windows XP computer (Thunderbird is my email client), the same file opens fine.

Just noticed that at the top of email message, I have "This message has been partially downloaded" followed by a hyperlink to "Get Entire Message." After clicking on the hyperlink, the file opens just fine.

Why am I getting partial downloads? How can I fix?

Because there's a default setting in Entourage which you may not have
changed when configuring your account. Click on Tools>Accounts, double-click
your account, switch to the Options tab and uncheck the box which reads
"Partially receive messages over xxx KB".
