Hi,

I have a Web Application, in this application in some part I have to
display a word document to the users.
The document must not be changed and could only be printed.

We tried to protect the document but with the new version Word/Office
2007, in the menu you could easily unprotect the document.

Question :
- Is there a way to hide completely the menu? our users are inside an
intranet, and registry values could be set
- Is there a way to disable the unprotect in Word 2007?

Many thanks

Stefan

The answers to your questions are No and No.

Publish the document as a PDF file, and put that on your web page instead of
the Word document. You don't want anyone to be able to use any of Word's
functions, so don't make it available at all.

Progress? :)

Seriously, as you already know, Word 2007 is a major change to the user
interface; I suspect that's gives us the answer...
