In Word 2000 if you had a lot of documents you could type in any part
of the document name and it would find it. i.e. if there was a file
called joe bloggs reference.doc you could type bloggs hit enter and
the file would open or display the options if there are more than one.
In Word XP that doesnt happen and it was a really fast way of opening
documents you can predict i.e if you start with joe it will predict
but if you type bloggs it wont find the document. Is there a way round
this issue or something I am missing in Options or Indexing the
directory?
The operating system is Windows XP pro and Office XP SBE.
Many thanks
