In an Access Data Project (My version: Office XP), you can customize
your toolbars by adding buttons that open specific forms. In the
Customize dialog, there is a category "All Forms" and you can drag any
of the forms in this category to the toolbar to create such a button. I
have done this for some forms that have Datasheet for "Default View",
as well as "Allow Form View" False and "Allow Datasheet View" True.
When I click the toolbar button for the first time, the form opens as a
Datasheet. When I click the button a second time while the form is
still open (but possibly hidden behind another form), it shows up in
Form mode.
I consider this a bug in Access. Does anybody have a simple work-around
for this behaviour?
