opening a query from a form command button

i have a query which requires the user to enter the
argument/string to search for in the table data.

however i want to open the query from a main form where i
click on the command button and that little box asking for
user to enter the value should come up, but instead i am
getting an error message saying that "This action or
method requires a query name argument."
