Opening a query in SQL View

Is it possible to open a query in SQL view without first opening it in
design view? Opening in design view breaks links to non-existing tables and
sometimes MS-Access seems to automatically save the query with the broken
links, without prompting to cancel.

Try saving the query from SQL view. It should then open in
SQL view.
