Opening a report in design view

Whenever I try to open any of my reports in design view I
get the following:

There was a problem retrieving printer information for
this object. The object may have been sent to a printer
that is unavailable. Has anyone seen this error before?
I am using Access 2002.

Sure, occurs all the time if the report was set to use a specific printer
and that printer (exact name and port) is not available on the current
machine. Try going to File - Page Set Up - Page Tab and selecting teh
radio button to use the Default Printer.
